MMTA Music Camp Scholarship

Our goal is to encourage students musically and to assist them financially toward a more serious study of music by attendance at a summer music camp. These are partial scholarships ranging from $25.00 to $100.00 depending on the student's financial need, and cost of the camp involved, our budgetary constraints, and the number of students applying.
To be considered for this scholarship, a prospective recipient must
1. Have studied with a MMTA teacher for the entire school year during which the application is made.
2. Submit letters of recommendation from the private teacher and the school music teacher, if applicable.
3. Submit a photocopy of the report card showing grades for the present school year.
4. Write an essay briefly describing why you are applying for this scholarship. Include a brief statement of future plans and goals.
5. Submit the completed application* form to Jan Khorsandian no later than May 15 each year (postmarked).
6. Scholarships will be awarded in early June, TBA annually.
